Documentation
The user guide: how to plan, ride, record and get your rides back out again.
Getting started
Install Velorki, understand the four tabs, see which permissions it asks for and why, and set your units. No account is needed.
Planning a route
Tap waypoints on the map, pick a bike profile, compare variants, read the elevation and surface stats, and save the route to your library.
Loops
Ask Velorki for a round trip of a given distance that ends where it started, then step through the candidates until one looks right.
Search
Find places, streets, house numbers and things like drinking water or toilets, on the phone where you have downloaded an area and online everywhere else.
Offline maps and routing
Download the map you look at and the routing data your routes are computed from, so planning, search and navigation keep working with no signal.
Turn-by-turn navigation
Follow a route while you record, with a turn banner and spoken cues, and see what Velorki does when you leave the route.
Recording a ride
Start, pause and finish a ride, keep it recording with the screen off, save battery, and get a ride back after the app was killed.
Library
Where your saved routes and recorded rides live, what a route or ride card shows, and how to rename or delete either of them.
Import and export
Open GPX, FIT and TCX files from anywhere on the phone, save them as routes or rides, and export yours to Komoot, Garmin or anything else.
Sharing
Turn a route or a ride into a link anyone can open in a browser, see what the page shows, and know that the link expires after a year.
Strava and Ride with GPS
Connect your Strava or Ride with GPS account to upload recorded rides and import routes, and see why sending a route to Strava is a file.
Assistant
Describe the ride you want in a sentence and Velorki turns it into a route, with your consent, a rounded position at most, and no route history sent.
Velorki Plus
Everything that runs on your phone is free. Plus is a small subscription for the four features that need our servers or a partner account.
Settings and appearance
Every setting in Velorki, from theme, accent and units to navigation, recording, sensors, search, offline data, connections and the server URLs.
Privacy on the phone
In rider's terms: what stays on your phone, what leaves it, when, and to whom. There is no account and nothing is uploaded unless you ask.
Sensors and your watch
Heart rate, cadence and power from a Bluetooth sensor, an Apple Watch or your phone's health app, set up once and kept with every ride.
Troubleshooting
Fixes for the common problems: no position, no route, the missing tiles banner, a silent voice on iOS, stuck downloads and links that will not open.
